Hello I'm Annette.

I am an artist based in Staffordshire, nestled in the countryside with my lovely hubby, and a lively crew of dogs, cats and feathered friends, and a few teenagers chucked in the mix 😁 My home and studio are rooted in a love of nature, animals, and quiet moments, and this world inspires everything I make.

I've been making artist bears and keepsake companions for many years (The Bears have been going since 1993) I use traditional techniques and quality materials and my own designs to create pieces with heart and personality. I also enjoy exploring form through wooden dolls and sculpted figures, each one unique tactile and made to be loved.

Alongside my handcrafted companions, I create illustrations and gentle artwork, stories drawn in pencil and paint that reflect the same quiet curiosity about the natural world. These pieces often find life on greeting cards, prints, and homeware that can make everyday moments feel a little more special.

My work is inspired by gentle animals, walking through the woods that surround my home with my dogs, and a desire to create things that feel comforting, timeless, and warm.
