Thankyou for taking the time to visit my website and to find out about my bears. 

My love for making bears started way back in 1993, over 30 years ago now! that seems crazy to think. I attended a bear fair and brought a kit for a mohair bear, and the rest is history so they say. My first attempts were not very good, however I still have my very first bear I made and it is well loved and has survived two divorces 4 children and 5 house moves ! 😆 If you would like to see him he is on my blog on here. 

I have collected a few bears too over the years and have a couple of steiff and a few artist bears, I am afraid some have disappeared over the years but I am happy to still have a few. 

I had my first child in 1993, which is how I came to make a bear in the first place I wanted something to do in my maternity leave, you know the lull before you give birth when everything is calm and serene 😃 After I had my son I was still loving making bears so I somehow managed to find time to turn my hobby into a little bit more. My bears used to be in shops around the UK and I used to travel all around the UK to bear fairs with my Mom in tow and her homemade soggy sandwiches and a flask of tea. I used to pick her up at the crack of dawn and off we would go, I miss those days.

I am now a Chemotherapy nurse and have not attended any bear fairs for many years, however I still have the same enjoyment and passion for making bears, as I did 30 years ago. 

My bears have traveled all over the globe, and are still happy to do so, I pack them carefully and off they go to their new homes, it is a bittersweet moment when I say goodbye.  So no matter where you are in the world you can still adopt one of my bears. 

My bears are made in various sizes, they are all my own design, I have spent many many hours perfecting my own patterns and designs. and all are created by hand using only the finest quality materials, fabrics  and components. I like my bears to be heavy so they are weighted and are very huggable and tactile. They are one of a kind bears, no two are ever the same. Some are dressed, some have a waxed nose, and mostly have a little red heart embroidered on to their nose. 

When you adopt one of my bears you can be certain you are adopting a unique original Heirloom bear, each one comes with their own certificate of authenticity. Whether you're an established collector or looking for that perfect special gift, these handmade mohair bears bring warmth, character, and British craftsmanship to any home.
